Andrews gained recognition for her role as Valerie Grant in the soap opera "Days of Our Lives" from 1975 to 1977, where she was part of the first interracial romance shown on daytime television. She also appeared as Aurelia in the miniseries "Roots" and had roles in shows like "Good Times" and "The Brady Bunch."
