London’s literary calendar is about to get a lot more exciting as The Wilde Foundation Hammersmith & Fulham Writers Festival returns for 2026 with an inspiring line-up of authors, publishers, poets, literary agents, creatives, and storytellers from across the literary world.
Set to take place on Saturday, 27 June 2026 at the iconic Bush Theatre, 7 Uxbridge Road, London, this year’s festival promises a vibrant celebration of storytelling, creativity, culture, and community.

With the powerful theme, “…And Still I Write”, the festival shines a spotlight on resilience, expression, and the enduring power of words in shaping conversations and changing lives. More than just a literary event, the festival creates a space where writers, readers, aspiring authors, and lovers of books can gather to learn, connect, and be inspired.
This year’s programme features an exciting range of panel discussions, workshops, live conversations, and creative sessions led by some of the most compelling voices in literature and publishing today. Headlining the festival is renowned television personality and barrister Shaun Wallace, widely recognised as The Dark Destroyer from ITV’s The Chase.
Festival attendees can also look forward to appearances from celebrated literary figures including Margaret Busby, pioneering publisher and editor of Daughters of Africa; award-winning author Onyi Nwabineli; acclaimed writer Yvvette Edwards; internationally recognised author Tina Andrews; Sudanese-American novelist Fatin Abbas; literary agent Catriona Paget from C&W Literary Agency; performance poet Sheda; and many more influential voices shaping contemporary storytelling.
Beyond the conversations and panels,
the festival also offers practical workshops designed to empower emerging writers and creatives. From pitching sessions with literary professionals to self-publishing masterclasses, attendees will gain real insight into navigating the literary industry and bringing their stories to life.
One of the festival’s highlights is its growing commitment to nurturing new talent through initiatives such as the Short Story and Poetry Competition, giving aspiring writers a platform to share their work and have their voices heard.
Whether you are an aspiring author with a manuscript tucked away in your notes app, a passionate reader searching for your next literary obsession, or simply someone who believes in the power of stories, The Wilde Foundation Hammersmith & Fulham Writers Festival 2026 offers something truly special.
